Dear Mike
Director: Living Streets Aotearoa
I am applying for the recently advertised position of “Director - Living Streets Aotearoa”. I firmly believe that walking is healthy and environmentally friendly, and as a means of transport and recreation it deserves greater support and promotion.
I have the relevant background and experience to promote the social and economic benefits of walking and pedestrian-friendly communities. I feel confidant about advocating for walkers and pedestrians in planning for urban, regional and national land use and transport, and liaising with walking groups, locally, nationally and internationally.
I am a self-starter with good communication, networking and diplomacy skills. I have also worked in the NGO field, and have experience in organisational development and project management.
My Curriculum Vitae and an outline of my “project roles” can be found at: www.krisericksen.homestead.com. Below is a “self-assessment” of how I fulfil the knowledge, experience and skills specifications for the position. Links to printable versions of these documents can be found at the bottom of this page.
Referees can be provided on request.
Yours sincerely
Kris Ericksen
